Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 24, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how Choreblr, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the choreblr service, including our SMS messaging program operated through the Riker home automation bot ("Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Phone numbers: When you opt in to receive SMS messages from our Service, we collect the mobile phone number you provide or from which you send an opt-in request.
- Message content and metadata: We retain inbound and outbound SMS message content, timestamps, and delivery status to operate and troubleshoot the Service.
- Usage data: We may log command keywords, message frequency, and interaction patterns with the Riker automation bot to improve reliability and performance of the Service.
- Household task data: Task descriptions, grocery lists, or reminders you submit via SMS may be stored to fulfill the requested automation function (e.g., grocery list coordination).
We do not collect payment card information, government identification numbers, or financial account information through this Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Send you SMS messages you have opted in to receive, including task reminders, grocery shopping coordination, and household automation notifications from the Riker bot.
- Process and respond to inbound SMS commands (e.g., adding an item to a grocery list, acknowledging a reminder).
- Maintain and improve the reliability and functionality of the Service.
- Comply with our obligations under applicable law, including telephone and messaging regulations.
- Respond to support or HELP requests you send to the Service.
3. SMS Opt-In
You consent to receive SMS messages from choreblr / Choreblr, LLC by explicitly opting in through one of the following methods:
- Texting an opt-in keyword (such as JOIN or START) to our designated SMS number.
- Submitting your phone number through a web form or verbal agreement with an account administrator, where the SMS program is clearly disclosed at the point of consent.
Consent to receive SMS messages is never a condition of purchasing any product or service, and you may opt out at any time (see Section 4).
4. SMS Opt-Out
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After we process your opt-out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent to your number unless you re-opt in.
You may also contact us directly at contact@flopstr.net to request removal of your phone number from our messaging list.
5. HELP Keyword
If you need assistance, reply HELP to any SMS message from us. You will receive a response with basic program information and contact details. You may also reach us at contact@flopstr.net.
6. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your household's use of the Service. Typical usage involves a small number of messages per day (approximately 1–10 messages per day depending on active tasks and reminders configured by your household). You will only receive messages triggered by your configured automation rules or by your own inbound commands.
7. Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to SMS messages sent to and from your phone. choreblr does not charge separately for SMS messages, but your carrier's standard rates apply.
8. Data Sharing
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information — including your phone number and message content — with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party messaging infrastructure (e.g., Twilio) to deliver SMS messages. These providers process your phone number and message content solely to transmit messages on our behalf and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements. They are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing purposes.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority.
- Protection of rights: We may disclose information to protect the rights, safety, or property of Choreblr, LLC, our users, or others.
9. Data Retention
We retain your phone number and associated SMS records for as long as you remain opted in to the Service. If you opt out (STOP), your phone number is flagged as opted-out and retained for a minimum suppression period of 180 days to honor your opt-out and prevent inadvertent re-messaging, after which it may be purged from active records.
Task and message content data is retained for up to 90 days after the associated session or task is closed, unless a longer period is required by law.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Our SMS messaging infrastructure uses encrypted transport (TLS) for message delivery. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at contact@flopstr.net and we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
